About Me
- ALESSANDRA
- I was born in Rome where I took a PhD in Biology and became a scientific journalist for the Italian Broadcasting Channel (RAI). I've been responsible for the communication sector in scientific organizations such as World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Greenpeace. I entered the world of public transport in 1997, and was seconded from the Public Transport Company of Rome, ATAC, to the European UITP department as expert of events and communication. After a few years there, I joined UITP as International Relations and President Programme Manager. Actually I'm managing and coordinating the UITP Youth Project and dealing with Advocacy at UITP.

Welcome!
I’m really glad to welcome you through the pages of my blog on Youth and Public Transport. I’m creating this blog with a lot of energy, enthusiasm and willingness to reach all the people interested in Youth.
To let them be much closer to their world, and possibly produce important changes for the near and far future.
Through these blog, you will have the chance to start approaching the existing reality of the Youth in the world.
Working with the Youth, for me personally is a fantastic experience , and I’m extremely happy to share all I went through with my lecturers.
Youth is bringing an important contribution to the future of our world in many ways,
I must say that this activity changed my life and showed me the way to create and produce important changes through the world, and be more conscious of what, all together, we can done to change it!
Hopefully this blog will connect the world of young people and will bring energy and freshness, achieving great results with the support of all our contributors around the world.
I deeply hope that it will serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for all the interested actors, to take and/or pursuit a route where unforgettable experiences with the youth will drastically change and influence the course of their lives.
